Read from each CPSC recall page on November 2, 2026. The Amazon line says whether the CPSC's recall notice names Amazon.com among the retailers that sold the heater; it is not a check of Amazon's current listings. This is the list we found by searching CPSC.gov; an older heater can be recalled too, so search cpsc.gov/Recalls for your brand.
02 / Your next step
What to do if your heater is on the list
- Unplug it and do not use it. Every recall above says to stop using the heater right away. Do not leave it plugged in while you check.
- Read the label on the bottom. The model number and, for some recalls, the date it was made are on a label on the underside. Match both against the table.
- If it matches, claim your refund or replacement. Each remedy needs a photo, and most ask you to cut the power cord first. The contact for each is in the table. It is free; you do not need the box.
- If it does not match, it is not in these 7 recalls. Check the CPSC recall list for your brand once a year. A heater with no recall can still have a fake safety mark: see our UL-listed heater page.
- Replace it with a heater whose model is in the lab directory. The picks above are sold by Amazon.com, are not in a recall, and have their model number in Intertek's ETL directory under UL 1278.
