Current status: Amazon affiliate links are live on this site. When you buy through an Amazon link here, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. HVACDirect links are also live (their in-house affiliate program). We removed every Home Depot link from this site on 2026-08-20 because we are not in that program, so those links earned nothing — rather than keep them, we deleted them. Install-quote referral partnerships are not live yet. This page updates as that changes; none of it changes the data or rankings.

Verified HVAC Data is, and is intended to remain, a free resource. To cover the cost of building and maintaining it, we earn (or plan to earn) commissions two ways: retailer affiliate commissions on DIY-purchasable equipment and supplies, and referral fees from installer lead-gen partners when a reader requests an install quote. This is standard affiliate and lead-generation marketing, disclosed here in compliance with FTC guidelines.

What this means in practice

Some links may earn us a commission or referral fee if you buy or request a quote through them, at no extra cost to you.
These relationships will never determine which equipment appears in the product database, how it's ranked in a "best" guide, or what specs are shown. Ranking is strictly by the stated, verifiable metric — computed the same way for every unit regardless of any commercial relationship.
No brand, retailer, or contractor can pay for a better ranking, a featured placement, or removal of unfavorable data.
We clearly mark commercial links as such once they exist. Our machine-readable endpoints (the dataset, llms.txt) carry no affiliate parameters.

Where we stand today

Amazon "shop" links on product, "best," and tool pages are affiliate-tagged and live — buying through them may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. HVACDirect links are tagged and live too. Install-quote referral partnerships are not live yet, so that button routes to our own free quote-guidance page.

What we removed (2026-08-20). We deleted every Home Depot link on this site: we are not a Home Depot affiliate, so those links earned us nothing and we would rather send you nowhere than send you somewhere we can't stand behind. We also stopped using Amazon keyword-search links as buy buttons — a search results page is not a product listing, and too many of ours returned no results. Where we have not matched a real listing for a specific model, that page now says so and shows no buy button at all. As each program goes live, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will move.
