Coway Air Purifiers Compared: Every Airmega on Amazon, and Which to Buy

For most rooms, buy the Coway Airmega 350 ($339). ENERGY STAR certifies it for rooms up to 558 sq ft, nearly as much as the Airmega 400, for about $291 less. For a big room, buy the 450 ($499): it beats the 400 and costs less. On a budget, the Mighty ($229.99) is good value, but only Coway has rated it. Prices are Amazon.com's on November 4, 2026.

Skip the Airmega 400 (and the 300)

The 400 is Coway's best-known big-room model, but the newer 450 cleans more air, covers a bigger room and costs less. It uses about 4 W more. ENERGY STAR: 450 = 443 smoke CADR, 687 sq ft; 400 = 376, 583 sq ft. Amazon.com, November 4, 2026: 450 $499, 400 $629.99. The older Airmega 300 ($510.20) costs more than the 350 and cleans less (315 vs 360).

The 450. ENERGY STAR certifies it at 443 smoke CADR for 687 sq ft against 376 and 583 sq ft for the 400, and on November 4, 2026 it was $499 vs $629.99 at Amazon.com. Its genuine filter was $109 vs $99.
Coway Airmega 350 vs 400?
Close on cleaning: 360 vs 376 smoke CADR, 558 vs 583 sq ft, both ENERGY STAR certified. The 350 was $339 and the 400 $629.99 on November 4, 2026, so the 350 saves about $291 for about 4% less cleaning.
Is the Coway Mighty ENERGY STAR certified?
Not on ENERGY STAR's current Room Air Cleaners list (we checked every Coway row). Coway's own page rates the Mighty (AP-1512HH) at 233 smoke CADR, 361 sq ft and 77 W. The "1,748 sq ft" in its Amazon title is how big a room it can clean once an hour; for smoke or allergies, use 361 sq ft.
Coway Mighty vs Mighty2?
The Mighty2 (AP-1512N) is the newer model, and it is not on ENERGY STAR's list either. HouseFresh tested it in their lab: it cleared their smoky test room faster than the original Mighty, drew 49.12 W on top speed and measured 35.9 to 56.9 dBA. It has no ionizer. It was $269.99 vs $229.99 for the Mighty on November 4, 2026. Pay about $40 more if you want quieter and faster; the Mighty is the value pick.
Coway Mighty vs Winix AT40?
The Winix AT40 cleans a little more on paper: AHAM certifies it at 265 smoke CADR for 410 sq ft on 45 W, against Coway's own 233 for 361 sq ft on 77 W for the Mighty. The AT40 was $209.33 and ships with two years of filters; the Mighty was $229.99.
