Winix Air Purifiers Compared: All 25 Certified Models, and Which to Buy

For most rooms, buy the Winix AT40. It was $185.64 at Amazon.com on October 17, 2026, it comes with two years of filters, and it uses only 45 watts, so it is the cheapest Winix to own for two years (about $334, among the models we could fully price that day). If you want to spend less today, the T810 ($175.99) cleans a little more smoke, but you buy its Filter R after a year (the AT40's second filter is in the box). AHAM certifies 25 Winix models, and many are the same machine under different names.

Their certified numbers are identical: 253 smoke CADR, 392 sq ft, 65 W, and all three take Filter Q ($47.49 a year). On October 17, 2026 the 5510 and 5520 were $179.99 and the 5530 $219.99 at Amazon.com. Buy whichever is cheapest the day you shop. If you can spend $5.65 more, the AT40 cleans more smoke (265) on 45 W instead of 65 W.
Winix 5500-2 vs 5510: should you upgrade?
The 5510 replaced the 5500-2. AHAM rates the 5510 higher on smoke (253 vs 239) and room size (392 vs 370 sq ft), but it draws 65 W vs 57.8 W. We found no 5500-2 for sale on Amazon on October 17, 2026; the 5510 was $179.99.
Winix AT40 vs T810?
Close on cleaning (265 vs 270 smoke CADR, 410 vs 418 sq ft), both 45 W and ENERGY STAR. The T810 costs less today ($175.99 vs $185.64), but the AT40 ships with a second filter. Over two years with power, the AT40 costs about $334 and the T810 about $324 plus one Filter R, so the AT40 is cheaper if the filter costs more than $10. The genuine Filter R was $74.99 when we last read it (October 12); we did not get a price for it on October 17, 2026.
