Fit and schedule are Winix's own, from each filter's page on winixamerica.com (read October 31, 2026). Prices are Amazon's on November 4, 2026. One genuine box is one year of filters, so the price is also the cost per year.

The 5300-2 and 5500-2 look alike, and many shop answers mix up their filters. Winix lists them on different filters: the 5300-2 takes Filter A, and the 5500-2 takes Filter H.

The confusion has a cause. Winix's Filter A page lists the 5500, the older model without the -2. The 5500-2 is on the Filter H page. So read the model number on the label, and match the -2.

Does the Winix 5500-2 take Filter A or Filter H?

Filter H (116130). Winix lists Filter H for the 5500-2 and AM80. The older 5500, without the -2, takes Filter A.

Does the Winix 5300-2 take Filter A or Filter H?

Filter A (115115). Winix lists the 5300-2 on its Filter A page, along with the C535, C909, 9800 and AM90.

Which filter does the Winix C545 use?

Filter S (1712-0096-00). Winix lists the C545 as the only model for Filter S.

Which filter does the Winix C610 use?

Filter Z (1712-0121-00). It is a round all-in-one filter. The same Filter Z fits the C710 and AT40.

Where do I find my Winix model number?

It is printed on the label on the purifier and on its box. Copy it exactly, including any -2 at the end, because the 5500 and the 5500-2 take different filters.

What is Winix Filter U?

An extra pet pre-filter, not a replacement for your main filter. Winix sells it as a pack of 12 thin filters for the 5300-2, 5500-2, 6300-2, C535, C555, HR900, HR950, HR951 and HR1000, and says to change one every month. You still need your main filter, such as Filter A or Filter H.

My Winix is not in the table. What now?

Winix lists more filters for older and less common models. Search your model on winixamerica.com, or call Winix at (877) 699-4649. If you still have the old filter's box, its part number tells you which filter to buy.

How often should I change a Winix filter?

Winix says to change the HEPA filter every 12 months. With Filter A and Filter S you also swap in a fresh carbon filter every 3 months; the box has 4 of them, so one box is one year. Filter H, O, Q, R and Z are changed whole every 12 months. Change it sooner if the filter light comes on first.

How much does a Winix filter cost per year?
