Each set is one year of filters. Fit and schedule come from Coway's own pages and manual (see Sources). Prices are Amazon's on November 4, 2026.
How often to change each part
- Pre-filter (the mesh in front): vacuum or rinse it every 2 to 4 weeks, and let it dry fully. You never replace it.
- Carbon filters: change one every 6 months. The set has 2, so the second one goes in at month 6.
- HEPA filter: change it once a year.
- Reset the light: press the Reset button for 2 seconds after you change a filter. The Odor light is for the carbon filter, and the HEPA light is for the HEPA filter.
From Coway's AP-1512HH manual. Coway bases the schedule on 8 hours a day on the top fan speed, and says it can differ in your home. The filter lights tell you when.
Cost per year: genuine vs compatible
Coway's schedule uses 1 HEPA filter and 2 carbon filters a year. A compatible pack holds 2 main filters (they go where Coway's HEPA filter goes) and 6 carbon filters. That covers 2 years on Coway's schedule, so its price is split over 2 years.
| Filters | Pack price | Per year | For 2 years | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $44.99 | $44.99 | $89.98 | Buy | |
| $32.99 | $16.50 | $32.99 | Buy | |
| $30.99 | $15.49 | $30.99 | Buy |
Prices are Amazon's on November 4, 2026. Per year assumes Coway's schedule for every row.
What the compatible listings say
Each compatible listing says it fits the AP-1512HH and the 200M. The claims below are the sellers' own listing text.
- Cabiclean compatible set: Its HEPA filter traps "99.9% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns."
- Isinlive compatible set: Calls it an "efficient filter," not HEPA, and says "This is not OEM product."
None of these listings names a lab test or an approval from Coway.
Which one to buy
Buy Coway's own AP-1512HH set. It is the part Coway names for the Mighty, Coway rates its HEPA filter at 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns, and one set is exactly one year.
A compatible pack costs less per year. If you buy one, keep to Coway's schedule, and know that its filter claims are the seller's own.
Common questions
- What filter does the Coway Airmega Mighty use?
- The AP-1512HH filter set, part 3304899: 1 GreenHEPA filter and 2 carbon (deodorization) filters. The washable pre-filter stays in the unit. Coway says the set fits the AP-1512HH, the beige AP-1512HHC and the Airmega 200M.
- How often do I change the Coway Mighty filter?
- Coway's manual says: wash the pre-filter every 2 to 4 weeks, change the carbon filter every 6 months, and change the HEPA filter every year. Coway bases this on 8 hours a day on the top fan speed and says the cycle can differ by home, so heavy use can mean sooner. The filter lights tell you when.
- How do I reset the filter light on the Coway Mighty?
- Press the Reset button for 2 seconds after you change the filter. If you changed a filter before its light came on, Coway's manual says: hold Reset for 2 seconds, press it once for the carbon (Odor) light or twice for the HEPA light, then hold it for 2 seconds again.
- Do the Mighty S and Mighty2 use the same filter?
- No. The Mighty S (AP-1512HHS, the Wi-Fi model) takes its own AP-1512HHS set, and the Mighty2 (AP-1512N) takes a Mighty2 filter. Check the model on the label before you buy.
- Can I wash the Coway Mighty HEPA filter?
- No. Coway's manual says the carbon and HEPA filters cannot be cleaned and reused. Only the pre-filter is washable: vacuum it or rinse it, and let it dry fully before you put it back.
- Are cheaper compatible Coway Mighty filters worth it?
- They cost less per year, and their listings say they fit. But their filter claims are the sellers' own, and none names a lab test. Coway's set is the one Coway names for the Mighty. The table above shows the cost per year of each.
