Coway AP-1512HH review

The short answer

Yes. The Coway Airmega AP-1512HH, called the Mighty, is still a good buy for a bedroom or living room up to 361 sq ft. Coway rates it at 233 CFM of smoke clearing on 77 W, and Amazon.com sold it for $229.99 on November 4, 2026. Its filter set is $44.99 a year. The newer Mighty2 is quieter on low (19 dB vs 24 dB), draws 56 W and lists no ionizer, but it costs $40 more, though over two years the Mighty costs about $4 more because it draws more power. One catch: AHAM's directory and ENERGY STAR's list do not include the Mighty, so these are Coway's numbers. If you want certified numbers, the Levoit Vital 200S is certified for 388 sq ft at $189.99.

The Mighty vs the Mighty2 and two certified rivals

Coway rows use Coway's own figures (cowaymega.com, read November 4, 2026); Coway gives the Mighty2's room only at one air change an hour, so its room size is blank. Levoit and Winix rows are AHAM-certified. Quietest setting is the maker's figure. Filter cost is the genuine filter on Amazon for one year. Power cost is running all day on high at 18.83¢ per kWh. Two-year cost = Amazon price + filters you'd buy + two years of power. Amazon prices on November 4, 2026.

Coway Mighty vs Mighty2: is the new one worth it?

Only if quiet and power matter most. Coway rates them about the same (233 vs 240 smoke CADR). The Mighty2 is quieter on low (19 vs 24 dB), draws 56 W instead of 77 W, and uses one filter a year ($69.99). It costs $40 more up front, but about $4 less over two years, because it draws less power.
